When should you book your wedding planner for your destination wedding in France?

You and your loved one got engaged (congratulations!!) and you are thinking about planning a destination wedding in France. What a great idea! A destination wedding in France allows you to plan a multi-days wedding experience for you and your guests. Let’s celebrate your love story in an iconic place, with all your loved ones, and make it fun, elegant and timeless. French art de vivre, the best gastronomy, amazing wine, a French Château or any other kind of gorgeous venue, good cheese and French baguette, Champagne, yummy macaroons, and so on… this might sounds like heaven to you. (and to me too, to be honest!)

But you will need help planning your wedding, touring venues, finding the best vendors to match your needs and expectations, doing food and wine tasting, organizing the test for hair and make up… and that’s when hiring a local wedding planner comes in!

I’ve already talked about the main reasons why it is important (and valuable for you) to hire a local planner when organizing your destination wedding in France in a previous blog article, but now you might wonder about the perfect timing.

Let’s talk about schedule, timing, process and anticipation.

With all the tasks that planning a wedding includes, it might looks scary and stressful:
Where to start? Venue? Planner? When to send invitations?
How to organize your missions for the next months until the wedding?
What are the priorities? Which vendors need to be booked first?
What is your budget and does it match with your expectations?
How to avoid loosing time and money?

… Unsure about where to start but convinced you need help? A local destination wedding planner is the hidden gem you secretly need.
Good.
But when to start working together?

This is highly important to understand that the sooner, the better.
Yes, this is correct. The sooner the collaboration with your local wedding planner specialized in destination wedding starts, the better it is for you (actually, for you but also for me).
In France, the best venues, the greatest vendors and the trendiest wedding experiences are often booked one year prior the date of the event, and sometimes even before that. This sounds like a lot of anticipation, yes, but it is the reality of the wedding industry in France right now.

However, if you are unsure about the timing needed for the wedding planning process, don’t worry. Hiring a destination wedding planner for your big day is here to help you out and guide you through the whole process. So let’s take advantage of this decision and new collaboration.

And if you’re last minute planning your wedding, that’s OK too. It happens, and we only live once, so let’s give it a try and hit me up to know about my availabilities. Who knows, I might still have a spot available. It can happen for an off-season wedding (November – April), where there are higher probabilities that I could be available. But please know that I only work on a few selected weddings per year, in order to provide with the best quality of services to my brides and grooms.

So, if you got engaged and you already know when and where you would love to tie the knot, let’s get in touch!
